There will be an Introductory Contra Dance Workshop at 7:00 p.m., so bring your friends even if they don't know how to contra dance yet - we'll get them up and running and having a ball!

Bring someone new to contra to the intro session and you BOTH get into the workshop and dance free.

Callers:

Rickey and Nils are creating a new mentoring format. We're excited to be a part of helping new callers grow and gain experience.

Pre-Dance Music Workshop 5:30-6:30pm

  • Join Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers for a jamming workshop of Scandinavian, Appalachian, and old time tunes! Expand your repertoire, while refining your backup skills, and broadening your knowledge of a variety of genres. All instruments and levels are welcome!

Where:

    Cambridge Masonic Hall
    1950 Massachusetts Ave Cambridge MA 02140

    Public Transportation (strongly recommended)

    The Masonic Hall is a short walk from Porter Square Station

    Parking

    No parking permit needed on Sundays.
    Parking meters are not active on Sundays.
    If coming from out of town, parking at Alewife or Davis Square and taking subway may be the best option.
    Share rides with other dancers!
    Shaws grocery store parking lot is nearby with a small risk of being towed. Not recommended.

How Much:

    $5-10 sliding scale
    Additional donations to BIDA are welcome to help fund future projects.
