An evening of
Contra and Ceilidh Dancing
October 23rd, 2009
Dancing 7:30-10:30pm Dessert Potluck during the break
BIDA presents it's first ever contra/ceilidh dance on Friday, October 23rd. Hosted by dance caller Nils Fredland, from Keene, NH, who describes the event as "a social event and party atmosphere, with dancing attached." Expect wicked good, rocked out fiddle tunes played by Ethan Hazzard-Watkins on fiddle, Owen Marshall on guitar, and Garrett Sawyer on bass. Nils's dance selection will include contras, squares, longways sets, circles (and a few other surprises), with the ultimate goal of sharing dances that everyone can do, right away.
